Dr. Jennifer Hui was born and raised in Orange County, California. She attended the University of California, Los Angeles for her undergraduate studies and the University of California, San Francisco for her medical degree.
She completed her internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Both her Ophthalmology residency and Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery/Orbital Oncology fellowship were undertaken at the world renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. Bascom Palmer (http://www.bascompalmer.org/) is consistently ranked the #1 eye hospital in the country in U.S. News and World Report.
Dr. Hui served as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute for 3 years as a member of the Oculoplastics department. She has returned to her native Southern California to provide her services and expertise to the residents of the Desert. She is board certified in Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, California Medical Association, and Riverside County Medical Association.
Dr. Hui is board certified in Ophthalmology and was also inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 2012. In 2016 she was inducted as a Fellow to the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (www.asoprs.org). This is a highly specialized group of surgeons whose expertise focuses on the eyelids, orbit and lacrimal systems. Membership is approved after completion of a rigorous fellowship as well as a thesis, written board examination and oral board examination. Dr. Hui has also been voted one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists from 2012-2017 as well as a Palm Springs Life Top Doctor in 2017.
Dr. Hui is also an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Loma Linda Eye Institute and cares for their Oculoplastics patients. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California, Riverside.
